Tips for Working Remotely at Your Bothell Apartments

In the midst of a spreading global pandemic, many companies are now sending employees home and working from home. If you are used to an in-office job, switching to a fully remote setup is a large shift. The first thing to realize is, it’s ok to feel uncomfortable. Switching to remote may make you feel any number of ways: distracted, anxious, or depressed. Being alone can make you feel isolated and hyper-focused on negative thoughts. If you currently find yourself in this predicament, we are here to help. We have rallied some time tested and tried ways of dealing with working from home. Soon, you will be working comfortably from your Bothell apartments.

Working From Home

One of the biggest ways to deal with working remotely is to continue your daily routine as much as possible. For example, while we have zero doubts that you can work in your PJs all day, the question is, should you? Waking up in the morning, selecting your daily outfit, and changing into work attire helps put you in a work mindset. More importantly, changing into a business casual outfit in the morning takes you out of a resting one. While we know you can still function in your pajamas, there are mental hits to going about your day in the same clothes you wore to bed the previous night.

Another huge way to ensure your working from home experience is a great one is to have a separate desk and workspace area. Even if it is just a few square feet, having an area that you can dedicate for work only is important. This will ensure a couple of things. Entering this area in the morning will signal to you that you are now at work. Similarly, when you are done for the day, leaving your dedicated workspace area will signal to you that work is over, and you are ready to unwind for the evening. Having a clear trigger will help relieve stress. Simply shut your computer down and be done for the day.
