]]>In the midst of a spreading global pandemic, many companies are now sending employees home and working from home. If you are used to an in-office job, switching to a fully remote setup is a large shift. The first thing to realize is, it’s ok to feel uncomfortable. Switching to remote may make you feel any number of ways: distracted, anxious, or depressed. Being alone can make you feel isolated and hyper-focused on negative thoughts. If you currently find yourself in this predicament, we are here to help. We have rallied some time tested and tried ways of dealing with working from home. Soon, you will be working comfortably from your Bothell apartments.
Working From Home
One of the biggest ways to deal with working remotely is to continue your daily routine as much as possible. For example, while we have zero doubts that you can work in your PJs all day, the question is, should you? Waking up in the morning, selecting your daily outfit, and changing into work attire helps put you in a work mindset. More importantly, changing into a business casual outfit in the morning takes you out of a resting one. While we know you can still function in your pajamas, there are mental hits to going about your day in the same clothes you wore to bed the previous night.
Another huge way to ensure your working from home experience is a great one is to have a separate desk and workspace area. Even if it is just a few square feet, having an area that you can dedicate for work only is important. This will ensure a couple of things. Entering this area in the morning will signal to you that you are now at work. Similarly, when you are done for the day, leaving your dedicated workspace area will signal to you that work is over, and you are ready to unwind for the evening. Having a clear trigger will help relieve stress. Simply shut your computer down and be done for the day.
Let Us Know!
While working from home may have been an abrupt change of pace, your transition into it doesn’t have to be. Fortunately, there are things well in your control to assist in your transition.

]]>A few chili brisks mornings aside, and a cool gentle breeze that still lingers in the air, springtime is here! Most people when hearing the world ‘spring’ associate the word with cleaning or a fresh start. To most, it is the former! We understand that spring cleaning is no small task. In fact, it can turn into a huge ordeal that most eventually give up on. The end result? Only a room or two gets done, at most! Fortunately, we have some great tips to ensure your Bothell apartments are cleaned from top to bottom, looking brand new!
Let' Go Green
One of our suggestions for this year’s spring cleaning is to consider the environment. This season, lets ditch the toxic and strong chemicals and opt to use natural homemade solutions. With items you already have in the cupboard, you can fabricate your own solutions! White vinegar, baking soda, lemons, grapefruits, olive oil, and borax are some of the Eco-friendly ingredients you can use.
Tips and Tricks
If you have a project like spring cleaning on your to-do list, a list is something that can really help you stay organized.
A good way to do this is to go through every room on your to-do, and jot down everything that needs to get done in that room. Writing out your projects will also ensure you have all the right cleaning materials handy. This will spare you of having to run out to the store for supplies at the last minute!
Another suggestion is to create a music playlist. Listening to music while you are spring cleaning can help you go faster! Consider naming your playlist ‘Apartment Therapy’! Okay, maybe that was a bit much.
Make Spring Cleaning Fun!
Organizing yourself for this year’s spring cleaning will enable you to know exactly what’ on the agenda per room, so that you don’t forget about any one space. Having a playlist handy will help you get done quicker!
